College of Engineering & Technology Labs

The College of Engineering & Technology at the UOS is comprised of three academic departments namely i) Department of Civil, Environmental & Transportation System, ii) Department of Mechanical, Industrial & Energy System and iii) Department of Electrical, Electronics & Computer Systems. Each department is equipped with latest infrastructure and resources to support practical learning, research, and innovation across various engineering and technology disciplines.

Department of Electrical, Electronics & Computer Systems

The Electrical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering & Technology (UOS) is dedicated to advancing knowledge and research in the field of electrical engineering through cutting-edge facilities and specialized laboratories. The Power Electronics Lab focuses on the design, simulation, and testing of power electronic converters and control systems. The Hydal Turbine Lab supports research in hydroelectric power generation. The Renewable Energy Lab promotes innovation in sustainable energy technologies. Additionally, the High Voltage Lab provides facilities for high-voltage testing and power system protection.

Department Of Civil, Environmental & Transliteration Systems

The Civil Engineering Department at the College of Engineering & Technology (UOS), is committed to producing competent engineers equipped with the knowledge and skills required for modern civil engineering challenges. The department emphasizes hands-on learning through well-equipped laboratories. These laboratories, combined with a comprehensive curriculum, ensure that graduates are well-prepared to contribute effectively to the civil engineering profession.

The Department of Mechanical, Industrial & Energy systems at the College of Engineering & Technology (UOS) includes specialized facilities such as the Industrial & Manufacturing Lab, engineering materials Lab, mechanics Lab, fluid mechanics Lab, thermodynamics Lab, Heating Ventilation & Air Conditioning Lab, mechanical vibrations Lab, Drawing & Graphics Lab and Robotics & IoT Lab. It features cutting-edge equipment that supports a range of experiments, including material testing, mechanical fabrication, and performance analysis. A recent development involved installing a 1000KN Universal Testing Machine enhancing its operational capacity.
