Dr. Asam Riaz
Assistant Professor

Dr. Asam Riaz is an Assistant Professor at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for One Health (IRCOH), University of Sargodha. He had completed his post-doctorate from the University of Georgia, Athens, USA, under the Fulbright Postdoctoral Fellowship. Earlier, he had earned his PhD in Insect Toxicology/Insect Molecular Biology from the Laboratory of Alpine Ecology, University of Grenoble Alpes, France. He is currently working on the development of an IPM module for the control of sugarcane termites, a project with a duration of 36 months

Dr. Ume Ruqia Tulain
Assistant Professor

Dr. Ume Ruqia Tulain is an Assistant Professor at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for One Health (IRCOH), University of Sargodha, her specialization in Pharmaceutical Quality Management and Hospital Pharmacy.  She actively engages in research on formulation development and biopharmaceutics. She has published 60 research articles, contributed to academic literature and collaborates with Quaper Pharmaceutical (Pvt) Ltd. She has filed a patent for a pharmaceutical formulation aimed at delayed drug release using arabinoxylan. Her contributions to the One Health initiative are focused on drug evaluation and formulation development to address critical health challenges.

Dr. Syed Haroon Ali
Assistant Professor

Dr. Syed Haroon Ali is an Assistant Professor and a Machine Expert at the Central Research Lab at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for One Health (IRCOH), University of Sargodha. He has published 50 journal articles, 35 conference papers, and 4 book chapters, with an H-index of 16 and over 800 citations. His expertise focuses on sedimentology, reservoir characterization, diagenesis, and geohazard studies, while integrating AI, machine learning, GIS, and geochemical techniques for petroleum system modeling, water management, and climate resilience. His future goals emphasize advancing AI-driven facies classification, improving water security, and strengthening interdisciplinary research at the interface of geosciences, AI, and One Health to promote sustainable resource management and climate adaptation.

Dr. Hafiza Mamona Nazir
Assistant Professor

Dr. Hafiza Mamona Nazir is an Assistant Professor at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for One Health (IRCOH), University of Sargodha, with a strong academic background including a PhD in Statistics from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. Her expertise lies in Applied Statistics, Spatial Statistics, Multivariate, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Spatio-Temporal Analysis, with a specific focus on hydro-climate modeling and flood mapping. She has a robust publication record in reputable journals, has successfully secured and contributed to multiple HEC-funded research projects. She is highly skilled in various statistical and programming tools such as Python, R and GIS, making her a dedicated researcher and educator in the field of statistical modeling and data analysis.

Dr. Sohaila Andleeb
Assistant Professor

Dr. Sohaila Andleeb is an Assistant Professor at NUTECH and Fatima Jinnah Women University, and as Assistant Director (Technical) at PCRET under the Ministry of Science and Technologyat. She is a creative synthetic chemist with expertise in methodology development, catalytic systems, and functional materials. Her research spans polymer-based hybrid materials for environmental remediation, ionic liquids for fuel desulphurization, nanocomposites for energy applications, and innovative chemical formulations targeting Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), as well as bacterial pathogens. Her work integrates sustainable synthetic chemistry with biologically relevant compounds to advance One Health framework, promoting therapies that support human health, sustainability, and energy solutions.

Dr. Asma Ashfaq
Lecturer

Dr. Asma Ashfaq is a Lecturer at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for One Health, University of Sargodha, with expertise in environmental science, ecotoxicology, plant stress physiology, and environmental biotechnology. She has over seven years of academic and research experience, having authored more than 100 peer-reviewed papers with 1,582 citations, an h-index of 22, and an i10-index of 42. Her research focuses on heavy metal risk assessment in food chains, sustainable waste-to-food strategies, biofertilizers, and ecosystem remediation. She has also been recognized for addressing agricultural resilience and food security under climate change. Her future goals at IRCOH include advancing climate-smart agriculture, promoting circular economy solutions, and strengthening international collaborations within the One Health framework.

Muhammad Shahbaz Zafar
Lecturer

Muhammad Shahbaz Zafar is a Lecturer at the Interdisciplinary Research Center for One Health, University of Sargodha. He has several years of teaching and research experience at UVAS and the University of Sargodha, contributing to student training and the development of specialized nutrition laboratories. His research focuses on dietary interventions to improve growth performance, nutrient digestibility, carcass traits, gut health, and microbiota modulation in poultry, with a broader emphasis on sustainable livestock nutrition under the One Health framework. His future goals include expanding research on sustainable feeding strategies to enhance animal health, and food safety, ultimately contributing to global One Health initiatives through innovative nutrition solutions integrating animal, human, and environmental health.
