Dr. Farzana Siddique
Assistant Professor

Dr. Farzana Siddique is an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Food Science and Nutrition at University of Sargodha. She has wide-ranging experience in the field of food science and nutrition. She has published 55 research papers and presented at numerous national and international conferences. Her expertise focuses on nutrition sciences and food safety. She adopts an interdisciplinary "One Health" approach, integrating human, animal, and environmental health to promote sustainable food systems and prevent chronic diseases in IRCOH. She actively engages in global nutrition initiatives, advancing informed food choices and sustainable food environments. She is also interested in nutrition projects aiming at nutritional deficiencies and role of food fortification and supplementation to combat diet related diseases.

Dr. Naunain Mehmood
Assistant Professor

Dr. Naunain Mehmood is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Zoology at University of Sargodha with extensive expertise in parasitology. She has published 85 research papers that presented at numerous national and international conferences. Her research focuses on the diversity, host-environment interactions, epidemiology, pathogenesis, and phylogenetics of parasites, with an emphasis on their control within the One Health framework. She has made significant contributions to understanding zoonotic diseases, benefiting both human and veterinary health. With an h-index of 21, her work highlights her commitment to advancing the field. At IRCOH, she leads efforts in researching zoonotic parasitic diseases, promoting interdisciplinary collaborations, and developing innovative diagnostic tools and sustainable control strategies.

Dr. Fozia Batool
Assistant Professor

Dr. Fozia Batool is an Assistant Professor in the Institute of Chemistry at University of Sargodha. She is an outstanding chemist with more than 18 years of teaching and research experience. She has published 50+ research articles in national and international research journals. She oversees the Central Research Lab Unit II at Sargodha University and is highly skilled in operating and managing advanced scientific instruments. Her research primarily addresses environmental pollution, a critical issue due to its adverse effects on human health and the environment. She has also been developing cost-effective methods for the removal of hazardous chemicals from wastewater. Her future endeavors are likely to focus on devising sustainable solutions and environmental health sectors, and promoting innovative strategies to mitigate the health risks posed by pollution.

Dr. Hafiza Mamona Nazir
Assistant Professor

Dr. Hafiza Mamona Nazir is the Assistant Professor department of Statistics at the University of Sargodha. Her research focuses on spatial statistics, stochastic processes, geo-spatial environmental hazards data modeling, and the deployment of modern statistical approaches for modeling natural processes. Her expertise in applied statistics, particularly in time series analysis, spatio-temporal modeling, machine learning, and deep learnings positions her to make a significant contribution to the One Health initiative at the University of Sargodha. Her skills are applied to the monitoring and prediction of environmental hazards, climate impacts on health, and water quality critical aspects of One Health. Using advanced statistical methods and analytical tools, she supports the One Health Unit in modeling interactions between human and environmental health, promoting interdisciplinary research for sustainability.

Dr. Zohaib Mushtaq
Assistant Professor

Dr. Zohaib Mushtaq is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Electronics and Computer Systems at University of Sargodha. He has published 30 research articles and 16 articles presented at national and international conferences. His research focuses on the detection and classification of diseases using Artificial Intelligence based techniques, particularly in EMG, ECG, and EEG signal classifications. His future work in the Interdisciplinary Research Center for One Health initiative will explore the integration of AI for disease detection and classification across multiple systems, focusing on EMG, ECG, and EEG signals. This approach aims to enhance early diagnostics and improve public health outcomes.

Dr. Ume Ruqia Tulain
Assistant Professor

Dr. Ume Ruqia Tulain is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Sargodha, her specialization in Pharmaceutical Quality Management and Hospital Pharmacy.  She actively engages in research on formulation development and biopharmaceutics. She has published 55 research articles, contributed to academic literature and collaborates with Quaper Pharmaceutical (Pvt) Ltd. She has filed a patent for a pharmaceutical formulation aimed at delayed drug release using arabinoxylan. Her contributions to the One Health initiative are focused on drug evaluation and formulation development to address critical health challenges.

Lecturer

Dr. Sumaya Batool is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Sargodha. She actively engages in research spanning social, clinical, personality, health, and positive psychology. As a practicing relationship counselor and life coach, she integrates practical insights into her academic work and has conducted numerous training sessions in these fields. Regarding the One Health initiative, she envisions taking on responsibilities that align psychological well-being with health and environmental concerns. She emphasizes the importance of integrating mental health perspectives into interdisciplinary strategies, aiming to foster resilience and mental wellness as essential components of a holistic One Health approach.

Lecturer

Dr. Muhammad Mobeen Hashmi is a Lecturer in the Department of Earth Sciences at the University of Sargodha. His research focuses on integrating Structural Equation Modeling, Agent-based Modeling, and geospatial data to enhance understanding of climate impacts in the Indus Basin. Regarding the One Health initiative, He emphasizes the critical intersection between climate change and health. He advocates for interdisciplinary approaches that address these challenges, including modeling climate-related health risks and devising strategies for resilience and adaptation. He also contributes to integrating climate change into the broader One Health framework to ensure sustainable, healthy ecosystems.

His research focuses on Medicinal Biochemistry, Reproductive Biology, Endocrinology, and Diagnostic Pathology, addressing infectious and metabolic diseases. He also explores medicinal plants for their nutritional and therapeutic benefits, promoting sustainable health solutions. He is dedicated to developing on health-related research activities such as infectious and metabolic disease, and exploring the medicinal plants for the nutritional and health benefits.
